We had a wonderful time making minibeast habitats with Pat and Sue from the Family Learning team. Thank you to all of the parents and carers who were able to join us.
In PSHE we have been learning about how we have grown and changed since we were born. To help us with our learning we looked at pictures of ourselves as babies and compared them to what we look like now.
Yesterday we set our butterflies free. We were sad to see them leave but loved watching their beautiful wings fly away.
Friday was a very exciting day for us as we were lucky enough to watch our butterflies hatch out of their cocoons!
We had a fun morning playing hide and seek with Scotty as a treat for being the class with the highest attendance last week!
We have had a wonderful afternoon creating our minibeast hotels. They look amazing and will hopefully bring lots of creatures to our playground! Thank you to all parents and carers who were able to donate resources. We appreciate it very much!
We went on a minibeast hunt in our playground but unfortunately, we didn’t find very many. We are hoping that once built, our minibeast hotel will attract more creatures in our playground!
As part of our topic, Wriggle and Crawl, we have been learning all about minibeast’s and their habitats. Next week we would like to build our very own minibeast hotel so that we can observe animals, such as ladybirds, ants, snails and spiders, in their natural habitats.
Since returning after Easter we have been so busy exploring the new areas in our classroom.
