We had a great afternoon working with the Family Learning team to create our own alien hand puppets.
Class one celebrated World Book Day yesterday, we all came dressed up as our favourite book characters!
Year 1 and Year 2 parents are invited to join us for the aliens are coming family workshop. The year 1 workshop will take place on Wednesday 7th March and year 2 on Thursday 8th March both at 1.30-3.00pm.
In RE last week the robins learned about the Jewish festival Rosh Hashanah. As part of our learning, we tasted apples dipped in honey, which is a special food eaten during this festival.
Yesterday we were so surprised to find a glittery trail in our classroom which led us to a giant, round spaceship that had crash landed on the playground!
Throughout this half term we have been learning the story Whatever Next! By Jill Murphy. This week in Art we have been drawing pictures of Baby Bear’s view of space from the rocket. We have used coloured pencils to show different tones and tried to colour neatly following our own lines.
This week we have been learning about planet Earth and the equator. We enjoyed using maps and gloves to identify hot and cold areas of the world.

We enjoyed making Christingle and taking part in a lovely Christingle service during our last week in December.
