Class 3

Welcome to our Class 3 Page!

Your child’s teacher is going to be Mrs Smith and our class teaching assistant is
Miss Penn. We are all very excited for your child to join us and are looking forward to learning together in our new class!

Meet your Teachers

Hello everyone, my name is Mrs Smith. I have been a teacher for 13 years now and I love my job so much! Every day is completely different and I love to see how you all learn and progress. One of my favourite times at school is story time. I love to read as it ignites your imagination and takes you to lots of different worlds.

When I am not at school, I like to go on long walks in Derbyshire with my dog, who is called Ronnie. My favourite kind of walk would be on a very cold and sunny day so I can put my hat, scarf and wellies on! Ronnie needs a lot of exercise so she keeps me very fit. When I have some spare time I like to bake.

My favourite things to bake are cupcakes and lemon drizzle cake. I also love to watch football at the weekend. Mr Smith supports Liverpool so we cheer them on together when they are playing.

Hi, my name is Miss Penn. I am a Teaching Assistant at WPT. I love to get creative, so as you will guess my favourite subject is Art! My favourite thing to do is spend time with my family and making lots of amazing memories and exploring new places.

We are very excited for you to come back to school and join us. We are going to have lots of fun learning together in our new class!

Our New Learning

Next year our topics are Scrumdiddlyumptious, Ticket to Ride and On a Safari. In these topics, we are going to be learning about food, transport and different kinds of animals. We have planned some fantastic learning activities and know that you will really enjoy them!

Class Information

This is given out every Friday and needs to be handed in by the following Wednesday. Please ensure that you do your homework as it ensures that you get extra practise of what we are learning at school. Homework will normally consist of spellings and some maths work. Children will also have a termly topic project to complete which hopefully will encourage them to be imaginative and creative.

We ask children to practise their reading book for 10 minutes each night as this will help them to become more fluent and confident readers.

We take part in PE lessons each week and ask children to arrive in their PE kit. They will need both an indoor and an outdoor kit. We will be in touch to arrange your child’s PE days once they are settled back into school.
