This week we have been investigating solubility in science and completing our box projects. We’re really busy in class but very excited about our Prom and camping trip.

When the sun came out last week Y6 had the chance to do outdoor activities with Scotty – great fun was had by all!

A great week in Y6! We have been dissecting plants to look at their different leaf structures to understand how plants are classified.

We have been working hard on using the different ways to create documents on the Chrome Books and on our tennis skills in Y6 this week. Lots of good discussion and focus from everyone.
Y6 have been looking at the seascapes painted by the artist JMW Turner. We have carefully observed the colours he used and the differences in shades. Now we are creating shades of different colours in preparation for our water colour paintings.
This week we have been hard at work writing stories using figurative language. We are as quick as a flash when creating new similes! We have also had a big focus on learning properties of 2D shapes and we are really getting to grips with parallel sides and opposite angles- there is a lot of [...]
