Our new topic is ‘Scrumdiddlyumptious’ and we are learning about food. As part of our topic we visited the Toby Carvery. We learnt about different fruits and vegetables, how to stay healthy and tasted different foods. We even had a roast dinner and ice cream. We loved it!

We had a fantastic first week back at school! We enjoyed learning in our new classroom and working with our friends.

Welcome back to our new Year 1 children. Each class in school is named after a bird and Class 1 are the Robins. Have a read of our newsletter to find out about our class.

We loved our attendance treat day before the summer holiday began! It was so exciting to dress up and have a picnic lunch on the field. We also enjoyed designing our own ice creams but the best part was being able to eat them!
We enjoyed making a refreshing fruit salad as part of our Design and Technology lesson yesterday. We used a knife to cut our fruit safely and washed it before eating it.

We had a great time making flowers and completing a scientific investigation during Family Learning! Thank you to everyone who was able to support us!

We really enjoyed sports day last week! We worked hard as a team to overcome obstacles and embraced new challenged! It was lots of fun!
Last week the Robins class were learning about Vincent Van Gogh. We studied lots of his famous pieces of art and then used oil pastels to recreate his famous 'sunflowers' painting.
