Year 1

This week we had our Christmas Party. We danced a lot, played games and ate lovely party food. We even had a special visitor!
It was a busy day on Friday! We wore our Christmas jumpers to raise money for Rotherham Hospice, enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner and visited the Christmas Fayre with our adults. It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!
As part of our topic 'Scrumdiddlyumptious' we are reading the story of 'The Gingerbread Man'. On Friday we designed and made our own Gingerbread Man and then we took them to show our adults. They were yummy!

On Friday we came to school dressed in something spotty to raise money for Children In Need. We also had a yummy bun sale!

Robins designed a healthy sandwich that they thought they would like to eat and then made it. They worked very hard and enjoyed eating them!
As part of our topic learning about food, we had a visit from Michelle who works at Warburtons. We learnt about the history of Warburtons and tasted different breads that they make. Then we made our own bread and even got to take it home. It was yummy!

On Thursday 11th October we had 100% attendance! For our reward we worked with Scotty to play different team games. We loved it!  

In our Literacy we have worked very hard to write our own ‘Oliver’s Vegetables’ story. We even made our own beautiful front cover.

On Monday 1st October Robins took part in a sponsored event for ‘Sports for Schools’. We took part in a fun fitness circuit. It was a great way to wake us up on a Monday morning! We also raised money to support GB athletes to compete for our country, as well as raising money for […]

Our new topic is ‘Scrumdiddlyumptious’ and we are learning about food. As part of our topic we visited the Toby Carvery. We learnt about different fruits and vegetables, how to stay healthy and tasted different foods. We even had a roast dinner and ice cream. We loved it!
