School Uniform

Statement

Thrybergh Primary School expects all pupils to wear full school uniform, in the appropriate manner, when attending school or when participating in a school organised event outside normal school hours.

Aims

To support this policy’s statement, it is the aim of the Governing Body to ensure that all items on the School Uniform List are practical, smart, affordable and designed with health and safety in mind.

It is the aim of all staff that pupils are correctly dressed at all times in school or whenever they are representing the school in the wider community.

 

Uniform List

Boys

Plain royal blue sweatshirt, with or without the school logo

Plain white shirt or polo shirt, which must be worn tucked into waistband

Plain black or grey, school trousers

Plain black or grey tailored shorts

Plain black or grey, school shorts are acceptable during the summer months

Flat, plain black shoes or trainers with black laces or velcro

 

Girls

Plain royal blue sweatshirt or cardigan, with or without the school logo

Plain white or polo shirt, which must be worn tucked into waistband

Plain black or grey, school trousers

Plain black or grey school skirt or pinafore dress

Plain black or grey tailored shorts

Blue and white checked summer dresses are acceptable during the summer months

Flat, plain black shoe or trainers (no pointed/ high heels, trainers or any other ‘fashion’

footwear. Backless shoes or flip-flop styles may not be worn for health and safety reasons).

 

PE Kit

Plain black or navy shorts

Plain white t shirt

Plain black or navy tracksuit bottoms & top (for winter wear)

Plain trainers (these must be a different pair from day to day wear) or plimsolls

School blue sports hoodies (optional) for outdoor PE only. These can be purchased at Pinders or Jonny Ds (in the Market).

 

Make up, Jewelry and Hair

Make up, temporary tattoos and false nails should not be worn. For health and safety reasons, no form of facial or body piercings may be worn at school. If earrings are worn, there should be no more than one per ear and of the stud type. These must be removed for PE. No other jewelry may be worn except a wrist watch.

All hair longer than collar length or long fringes must be tied back for health and safety reasons in the appropriate lessons, eg: Science, Design & Technology and PE.
