Y2 Maths

This week in Y2, the children have been focusing on adding and subtracting multiples of 10 to and from 2-digit numbers. To help them gain confidence, they used 100 squares to visualise the numbers and spot patterns, which made the learning much easier and more fun.

Once everyone felt confident with this skill, many of the children were able to apply it to solving word problems, showing they could use their learning in real-life scenarios. It’s been fantastic to see their growing confidence and enthusiasm for maths. Well done, Year 2!
