This week, Year 6 have been exploring the paintings of Caroline Appleyard and discussing what makes her artistic style so distinctive. After studying her use of colour and composition in class, the children headed outside to make their initial sketches for their own landscape paintings.
This is not as easy as it looks, and pupils showed real perseverance, returning to their sketches again and again until they were happy with the results, and their hard work has really paid off. Well done, Y6!
