Recently, Y1 have been working really hard on their dictated sentences! A dictated sentence helps children practise the graphemes they have learned in phonics. First, they listen carefully to the sentence, count the words and then work hard to hold the sentence in their minds while they write it.
It has been fantastic to see how focused everyone has been. Well done, Y1!
