Y5/6 Seahouses Residential

On Monday 9th of June, we made our annual trip up to Seahouses. This is a long journey, but is well worth it. As soon as we arrived, we headed straight to the beach for our beach safari activities with Ranger Jane, where we cleaned the beach and learnt about the long term effects of plastic pollution in the oceans.

On Tuesday, we walked from Seahouses to Bamburgh to visit the historic Bamburgh Castle. The castle is built on one of the first settlements in the north of England. During the visit, we saw some wonderful historic sights, and learnt lots about the castle’s history.

On Wednesday morning, we were lucky enough to go on a boat trip around the Farne Islands, where we saw puffins, kittiwakes, guillemots, and grey seals basking on the rocks. We had an amazing time, and learnt so much about the Seahouses area and the Farne Islands.

Everyone was super keen to take part in all activities. Well done!
