Reading in Y6

This term, Y6’s class novel is Black Powder by Ally Sherrick. Set in the 1600s, the story has allowed pupils to travel back in time as they follow the fortunes of Tom Garnett and his family.

Everyone has been highly engaged with the text, thinking carefully about how the characters’ actions and reactions reveal their thoughts and feelings. It has been wonderful to see such thoughtful discussion and enthusiasm for reading. Excellent effort from everyone!
