This week, Y2 began their writing journey with Into the Forest by Anthony Browne, which they will be using throughout their writing lessons. This morning, the children took an imaginary multi-sensory walk through a forest. Using pine cones, grass, different textures of wood and forest sounds, they imagined what they might see, hear and feel, as well as the atmosphere of being in a forest.
They then used their ideas to draw their own forest settings and added noun phrases to describe them. It was fantastic to see their creativity and imagination coming through in their work. Excellent work, Year 2!
