Reading Theatre Session in Y3/4

Yesterday, Y3/4 had lots of fun as they brought a scene from ‘Flat Stanley’ to life through a Reading Theatre. The children took on the roles of the narrator, Mr Dart, Flat Stanley and the two thieves, using their voices and expression to help recreate the exciting scene.

They also explored how Jeff Brown creates suspense, thinking carefully about the characters’ emotions, tone of voice and the language used to keep the reader wondering what might happen next. It was fantastic to see the children engaging so confidently with the text and really bringing the characters to life. Well done, Year 3/4!
