Silverwood Colliery Heritage Group Visit

Recently, Years 4 to 6 were visited by members of the Silverwood Colliery Heritage Group, who came to share memorabilia and stories from the 1984 Miners’ Strike.

Among the visitors were former miners and family members of miners, who explained the significance of each item and shared fascinating insights about life during that time. The children had the chance to contribute their own knowledge, ask thoughtful questions, and gain a deeper understanding of this important moment in history.
