Developing Skills in EYFS

This week in EYFS, pupils have been busy developing a range of important skills! They have been practising their cutting skills, helping to build hand strength and control to support their early writing development.

They also enjoyed learning about Red Nose Day, discussing kindness, helping others, and why it is important to care for people in their community. This links closely to their understanding of the world and developing empathy.

Their learning about transport also continues. The children have been exploring different types of transport, where they come from, and how they are used, making strong links to both their literacy texts and their own real-life experiences.

Through their stories, the children are developing a love of reading, building their vocabulary, and beginning to understand how texts connect to the world around them. Well done, EYFS!
