Book Activities in Y4/5

Last week, Year 4/5 began exploring their new class book, ‘The Firework-Maker’s’ Daughter by Philip Pullman. To kick off their writing journey, the pupils stepped back in time and immersed themselves in an atmospheric, old-fashioned firework shop. They explored interactive sensory boxes to spark their imaginations, stepped into Lila’s shoes and discussed what unique fireworks they might create and how they would design them.

It was a fantastic, creative way for pupils to develop their ideas, build excitement about their new text and step straight into the world of the story. Well done, Y4/5!
