This week, Year 3/4 took part in an exciting hook lesson to introduce their new book, ‘Cliffhanger’ by Jacqueline Wilson. The children experienced a soundscape immersion, listening carefully to a range of sounds and using their imaginations to explore what they could hear. They recorded their ideas through drawings and writing, describing how the sounds made them feel and what they thought might be happening.
There were some fantastic ideas and thoughtful responses as the children began to explore the story. We look forward to seeing how their reading and writing develops as they continue their journey with ‘Cliffhanger’!
