Meet your teachers
Miss Rowland
Hello! My name is Miss Rowland and I will be your class teacher this year. I have already taught most of you if not all of you before and I can’t wait to continue this learning journey together.
Even though some of you know me really well I thought I would tell you all a little bit about myself. At the weekend one of my favourite things to do is spend time with my family and in the evening I love to get all cosy and watch a Harry Potter film. My absolute favourite time of the year is Christmas because I love
drinking hot chocolate, baking and watching Christmas films. I am excited to see the progress you will all make next year and for all the fun we will have together.

Hello. Most of you already know me as I have had the pleasure of working with you this year but here’s a little bit of information about myself.
When I’m not at school I love spending time with my children and grandchildren. We love going out for day tips (we have lots of fun) and watching football and movies together. I love cold winter nights where we can sit snuggled up watching movies. Christmas is my favourite time of the year, I love baking Christmas cookies with my grandchildren and watching Christmas movies. My favourite Christmas film is Santa Claus the movie. I’m looking forward to be working along side Miss Rowland this year. I can’t wait to see you all in September.
Areas of Learning
We have an exciting curriculum planned and the children will be taught exciting lessons which will enable them to become geographers, historians, scientists to name just a few. We have planned some wonderful learning opportunities for the children and will hopefully be able to take part in some exciting class visits to further support our learning back at school.
Homework – Homework is handed out every Wednesday (when possible) and must be returned the following Monday. Please ensure that you do your homework at home as it ensures that you get extra practice. It’s so important! Homework will consist of spellings, reading and timetable practice using TTRockstars. Children will also have a termly topic project to complete which
hopefully will encourage them to be imaginative and creative.
Reading – We encourage your child to read at least 10 minutes a day.
