Welcome
to Class Year 5/6 (Falcons)

Mrs Britton
Meet your teachers
Mrs Britton
I have been at Thrybergh for a long time, around 25 years, and for most of that time I have taught Y6 or Y5/6. I absolutely love teaching in upper Key Stage 2 and my favourite subjects are maths, science and P.E.
I have a daughter who has just completed her GCSEs last Summer. We have two rescue dogs, Marley who is a very naughty Patterdale, Jack Russel cross. We also have Inka who is a retired racing greyhound.
In my spare time I love to be outdoors and you can find me walking the dogs or I will be up at the stables with my horses. We have a little Fell pony and a larger cob who Mr. Britton calls ‘Queen Elizabeth’ because he says I treat her like royalty!!! As a family we also like to go off on adventures in our little caravan and this year we will be heading up to Robin Hood’s Bay in North Yorkshire.
I really can not wait to welcome you all into Y5/6 so that we can all have some brilliant learning experiences together. We will be really aiming high this year and I am so excited about the fun we will have together.
Meet your teaching assistants

Mrs Platts
Hello, most of you know me because I have had the pleasure of teaching you from Foundation. I’m looking forward to working with you again. I would like you all to know what I enjoy doing out of school. I enjoy going shopping and going to see shows with my daughter, we have seen a lot!! I love spending time with my family, we have lovely BBQs in the summer and Christmas is my favourite time of the year, I love spending the day with all of my family.
I’m looking forward to working alongside Mrs Britton again. Let’s all work together so we can all achieve!
Class Information
Welcome to Class 4/5. Your child’s teachers are Miss Pearson, Mrs Burnett. Our class teaching assistant is Mrs Thomas. Miss Pearson will be your child’s class teacher from Monday through to Wednesday lunchtime and then Mrs Burnett will be the class teacher from Wednesday afternoon onwards. Mrs Thomas will be in class all week to help support with learning and run any
interventions that we feel your child may benefit from. We are extremely proud of our team and we are looking forward to your child joining our class.
The school day starts at 8:40am and learning starts immediately after so
it is vital that your child arrives on time. The school day ends at 3:15pm and
children will need to be collected by an adult from the door that leads onto
the bottom yard.
