Class 1/2 Learn New Maths Skills

In maths, we have been working on ordering numbers and using number lines. We worked together to try and trick each other to work out the missing number!

Class 1/2 Learn Musical Instruments

We learned about loud and quiet sounds in Science this week. We made a percussion orchestra and pretended to be the conductor. We played louder sounds when the conductor’s arms were high and quieter sounds when their arms went lower! https://youtu.be/0-8bQfSCIS0

Y4/5 Maths

In year 4/5 this week we have been learning to draw and use our own number lines to add 1’s, 10’s, 100’s and 1000’s. We worked really hard to get it right!

Thrybergh Primary School Games Bowling Competition

Yesterday, we had an amazing time at @HollywoodBowlUK with @Panathlon for a very enjoyable competition. We took part in Rotherham’s 1st ever 10-pin bowling competition. We developed a strong team spirit and we are proud of our talents and achievements. Multiplication Skills

In Maths this week Y2 have been identifying multiples of 2’s, 5’s and 10’s and Y3 have been identifying multiples of 50. We used hundred squares and thousand squares to help us. We then used this information to help us reason about numbers. Great job Year 2 and 3!

Year 2 Maths Magic
