Reading in Y5

Yesterday, Y5 worked hard on a reading comprehension based on ‘Library of Souls’ from The Nowhere Emporium. They practised a range of key skills, including retrieving important information, summarising key events, and making thoughtful predictions about what might happen next. Using their inference skills, they also worked on reading between the lines to uncover deeper meanings and hidden clues.

Through discussion and written responses, the children explained their ideas clearly, showing growing confidence and determination as they engaged with the text. Well done, Y5!
