Y5/6 Proud Certificate!
A huge congratulations to Freya for gaining the first ‘Proud’ Certificate of the year in Y5/6! Freya’s certificate is for her wonderful writing, which has blown us all away because of her wonderful use of language and improved punctuation. Y2 Art!
This half term, Y2 have been studying the artist Linda Lang, who is famous for her paintings of the Arctic. They have been looking at her art and creating their own colour wheels by mixing colours that they could see in the paintings. Everyone loved doing this, well done Barn Swallows! #WeAreProudOfOurAchievements
Reading in Y2!
This week, Y2 have been reading a non-fiction book in their Reading lessons. They used this to find facts about Butterflies and answer questions. The children have been working really hard to improve their reading fluency. You can do it Year 2! #WeWorkHard

The Barn Swallows have been working hard on their writing this week. They have been learning how clauses are joined with the conjunctions ‘and, but, or’. Y4/5 Virtual Author Visit!
Last week, Year 4/5 enjoyed a lovely virtual author visit from Barbara Henderson, who wrote the book River Boy. The children listened beautifully and asked some very thoughtful questions. Well done everyone! #WeListenToOthers

Forms of Addition in Y5/6!
Last week, Y5/6 were learning about different forms of addition and making their own calculations. They have been working on how to cross tens, hundreds and thousands barriers. Everyone did a fantastic job, well done! #WeWorkHard
Y5/6 Reading!
In Y5/6, they are really focusing on reading at home and in school as much as they can. Today, they have been reading their own books and developing their reading stamina. Great focus from everyone, well done! #WeWorkHard
Maths in Class 2!
Last week, Class 2 worked on comparing two digit numbers, using the greater than, less than and equal sign. They worked so hard and did such a fantastic job, they should be very proud of themselves. Well done Barn Swallows! #WeWorkHard
Celebration Friday!
