Writing in Y5/6

Recently, Y5/6 have been working very hard on their independent writing. The children are writing a narrative, and using all their skills to include appropriate punctuation, vocabulary choices, and narrative structure. It has really been making them think, and they are having to be very resilient. Great effort from everyone, keep it up! #WeWorkHard

TT Rockstars Battle in Y3!

This afternoon, Class 3 at Thrybergh Primary have taken part in a TT Rockstars battle! The battle was set by Mrs Parry McDermott, with only two days until results are in. Everyone has been working so hard, and should be super proud of themselves. Well done Y3! #WeAreAlwaysLearning

Multiplication in Y5/6

This week, Y5/6 have been sharpening their rapid recall of multiplication facts, and they have been making so much progress. Everyone showed great engagement and effort, and had a fantastic attitude towards learning. Well done Y5/6! #WeWorkHard

Balance Work in Y2

This week in PE, Y2 have been learning how to travel and spin safely while still holding their balance. They did such a fantastic job, and showed so much improvement throughout the session, well done Y2! #WeWorkHard #WeBelieveInOurselves

Y5/6 Science

As Y5/6 continue to study materials in their Science lessons, they have been learning about solubility, and identifying which materials are soluble or insoluble. Measuring in Y2

This week, Y2 have been learning how to accurately measure in centimetres and metres. They had to make sure they started measuring from 0, which is not always right at the end of the ruler. The children used some good teamwork skills, and didn’t give up. Well done Y2! #WeNeverGiveUp

Y2 Design & Technology

This week, Y2 have started to make their photo frames, after researching and designing over the past few weeks. The children have put a lot of thought into how they wanted their finished product to look, and tried really hard to follow their plans. They showed excellent resilience, and did a fantastic job! #WeWorkHard #WeBelieveInOurselves

Y2 Maths!

This week in Maths, Y2 have been learning how to represent multiplication using arrays. As the children have been working on arrays, they now understand that multiplication is commutative. They all worked super hard, and did a fantastic job. Well done Y2! #WeWorkHard

Clay Tiles in Y1

Last week, Lapwings were being super creative! They have been using tools and objects to imprint and carve into their clay tiles. They thought about patterns and textures, and worked very carefully when carving their creations.  Fantastic work, well done Y1! #WeWorkHard #WeAreAlwaysLearning

Y2 Literacy!

This term, Y2 have really enjoyed reading ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ by Maurice Sendak. Last week in Literacy, the children created their own wild thing, to support their character description writing. They came up with lots of noun phrases to describe their fictional monster, and did a fantastic job.  Well done Y2! #WeAreAlwaysLearning
