Pumpkin Art with Year 4/5

Today in year 4/5, the children used oil pastels to create some spectacular pumpkin artwork.

They studied the different types of techniques that can be used with oil pastels, including sgraffito, scumbling, tinting and cross-hatching.

They then explored how the history of pastels is given to add context to this medium. Absolutely fantastic effort and some beautiful finished pieces that we can’t wait to showcase in our Harvest assembly!
