Y2 Maths!
This week in Maths, Y2 have been learning how to represent multiplication using arrays. As the children have been working on arrays, they now understand that multiplication is commutative. They all worked super hard, and did a fantastic job. Well done Y2! #WeWorkHard
Clay Tiles in Y1
Last week, Lapwings were being super creative! They have been using tools and objects to imprint and carve into their clay tiles. They thought about patterns and textures, and worked very carefully when carving their creations. Fantastic work, well done Y1! #WeWorkHard #WeAreAlwaysLearning
Y2 Literacy!
This term, Y2 have really enjoyed reading ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ by Maurice Sendak. Last week in Literacy, the children created their own wild thing, to support their character description writing. They came up with lots of noun phrases to describe their fictional monster, and did a fantastic job. Well done Y2! #WeAreAlwaysLearning
ICT in Y2
Last week in ICT, Y2 predicted algorithms for the Beebot, helping it get to a particular spot on the map. The children then programmed their Beebot to see if their predicted algorithm worked. Great work, well done! #WeWorkHard

In Science, Y5/6 have been learning about the properties of materials. They have sorted materials according to their properties, and are now learning that they can use materials for different purposes, because of their properties. Traditional Stories in Foundation!

Y5/6 Ratio and Proportion
This week, Y5/6 have been learning to use the language of ratio and proportion in Maths, as well as recognising and recording ratio as ‘to every’, and proportion as ‘in every’.
