Y6 Seahouses Residential🏖

On our first day in Seahouses, we did a beach safari with  Ranger Jane. We began by looking at the levels of erosion caused by this winter’s storms then we looked at the impact of human activity on the beaches and did some litter picking along the beach. We found out that a lot of the waste found on the beach can take over a hundred years to decompose. After lunch we put our teamwork to the test and  collected different boulders, pebbles and shells to complete our beach art puffin. Great cooperation and learning!

We walked three miles to Bamburgh to visit the Castle and the Grace Darling Museum. We learnt about the history of the castle and saw stunning views out to sea from high up on the massive stone castle walls. In the afternoon we visited the Grace Darling Museum and learnt all about her daring rescue story and we went across to look at her memorial.

On our final evening in Seahouse we all went out for dinner at  Neptune’s fish restaurant. All our Y6 children represented our schools brilliantly showing  pride, respect and good manners. We all had a fabulous time.
