Music in Y2

In their very first Music lesson of the new school year, Year 2 had the chance to try out the boomwhackers – and what a brilliant start it was! Each group was given a different coloured boomwhacker, and the children had to carefully follow the musical symbols to know exactly when it was their turn to play.

Not only did they have to concentrate on timing, but they also had to make sure they played the correct number of beats. At times, two or even three colours were playing together, which meant everyone had to listen carefully and work as a team to keep the rhythm going.

The classroom was filled with energy and lots of smiles, and it was fantastic to see such great listening skills and teamwork on display. Well done, Year 2!
