This week, Y4/5 had an exciting visit to Eden Camp History Museum, perfectly linked to their History topic on World War 2. During the visit, the students explored the museum’s immersive exhibits and discovered what life was like during this challenging period.
They experienced the sights and sounds of The Blitz, giving them a real sense of the fear and resilience people felt during air raids. The children also had the chance to see authentic artefacts from the time, from ration books and uniforms to household items, which brought their learning to life.
In addition, they explored aspects of life on the Home Front, discovering how families coped with shortages, made do and mended, and contributed to the war effort. The visit was full of hands-on learning and opportunities to ask questions, helping the students deepen their understanding of this important period in history.
The children represented Thrybergh Primary fantastically throughout the trip, well done!
