Science in Y5/6

In Science, Y5/6 have been exploring how living things are classified, studying plant and animal groups – including microorganisms. Yesterday, they carried out an exciting science experiment to grow yeast cultures and test their hypothesis that yeast grows best in warm, moist conditions with plenty of food.

The pupils worked in teams to set up their investigations, carefully observed how the yeast reacted, and noticed bubbles forming as carbon dioxide was produced. Everyone showed fantastic teamwork and curiosity throughout the experiment. Well done, Y5/6!
