Y4/5 Miner Strikes in History

The children are really enjoying their new History topic this term, where they are learning all about the 1984 Miners’ Strike and the impact it had on our local area.

Yesterday was especially exciting as one of our pupils brought in a very special item to share with the class. Everyone had the opportunity to see and carefully handle a miner’s lamp, bringing our learning to life in a meaningful way.

Some lovely work this week – well done, Class 4/5!
