Recently, Y2 have been using their DT skills to design, make, and evaluate their own tooth fairy pouches. They began by exploring what a pouch needs to do and looking at existing designs for inspiration. The children then created their own ideas by drawing and labelling a simple design.
They selected suitable materials and used basic sewing skills to join the fabric and make their pouches. Finally, they evaluated their finished products by discussing what worked well, how their pouch could be improved, and whether it was fit for purpose. Throughout the process, they showed great creativity and pride in their work. Well done!
