This week, our little explorers have been learning all about transport, with a special focus on the buses we see in our community!
Here’s what they got up to:
- Rhyme & Reading: The children enjoyed the classic book The Wheels on the Bus, singing along and practising all their favourite actions.
- Real-World Connections: They shared stories about their own bus journeys, telling us where they’ve travelled and who they were with. We talked about how buses help us get to the places we need to go.
- Bus Spotting: The children explored photos of different types of buses, comparing their sizes, colours, and features.
- Creative Designs: To finish off, the children designed and drew their very own buses. It was wonderful to hear them explain what each line and shape represented on their vehicle!
- Home Challenge: Next time you’re out, see if you can spot a bus. What colour is it? Where do you think it might be going?
It has been a fun and engaging week, helping the children learn more about transport and develop their observation, creativity, and storytelling skills!
