World Book Day

On Thursday 5th March, Thrybergh Primary had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day! The day began with a lovely Stay and Play reading session in Foundation Stage, where families were invited into school to share stories with the children and start the celebrations together. It was a wonderful way to begin a day all about books and reading.

Throughout the day, children across the school came together to share their love of reading. Pupils enjoyed talking about their favourite stories with friends, discovering new books, and taking part in a variety of fun reading activities.

Year 4/5 especially loved working together to choral read ‘The Day the Crayons Quit, bringing the characters to life with great enthusiasm and teamwork. It was wonderful to see so many children engaged and enjoying books together.

A big well done to all of our pupils for making the day so special!
