Indian Inspired Patterns in Y5 Art

This week, Year 5 have been exploring block printing, taking inspiration from the vibrant and intricate pattern designs that originate in India. The children have been experimenting with different shapes and colour combinations to develop their own unique patterns.

At first it was a challenge, as replicating designs accurately can be tricky. However, through creativity, resilience, and a willingness to learn from mistakes, the children embraced the process. They’ve explored a wide variety of ideas and are now in the exciting stage of selecting a final design to bring to life through print.

Fantastic work, Year 5!
