Y4/5 Art & History

Y4/5 have done some lovely art that links nicely with their History topic this term – World War 2 & the Blitz.

They practised their blending techniques and focused on their London skyline during World War 2.

This activity supports both the Wickersley Partnership Trust History and Art curricula. Our students develop their understanding of chronology, use key historical vocabulary, and interpret different sources while learning about the Blitz and London during World War 2. At the same time, they practise and refine their artistic skills – recording from observation and imagination, selecting and developing their own ideas, and gaining confidence in controlling materials and techniques. Combining historical understanding with creative expression helps students apply their knowledge in a practical and engaging way.
